When Traveling North or South on I-35E:
Take the Highway 13 exit off of I-35E in
Lilydale and follow southbound Highway 13
(also called Sibley Memorial Highway), for
about two miles. Go through the village of
Mendota and up the hill. Turn right into St.
Peter’s parking lot.
From Woodbury and South St. Paul
Traveling West on I-494:
Take the westbound Highway 110 exit off of
I-494 and go about seven miles on Highway
110, passing I-35E and Lexington. Take
Highway 13 north by taking a right at the
stop light, following the brown “Mendota
Historic Sites” signs. Go about ¼ mile and
turn left into St. Peter’s parking lot.
From Bloomington Traveling East on I-494:
Take the MSP Airport Terminal One-Highway 5
exit off of I-494. Pass the airport entrance
and take the eastbound Highway 55 exit in
the direction of Hastings. Cross the Mendota
Bridge. At the southeast end of the Mendota
Bridge, stay in the left lane. Turn left at
the stoplight onto northbound Highway 13,
following the brown “Mendota Historic Sites”
sign. Go about ¼ mile and turn left into St.
Peter’s parking lot.
From Highway 62/Crosstown and Highway
55/Hiawatha Avenue:
Highway 62/Crosstown intersects with Highway
55 near the Veterans Administration Hospital
in Minneapolis. Continue on eastbound
Highway 55, cross the Mendota Bridge and
stay in the left lane. Take Highway 13 north
by turning left at the stoplight, following
the brown “Mendota Historic Sites” sign. Go
about ¼ mile and turn left into St. Peter’s
parking lot.
When Traveling East from Minneapolis
through St. Paul on I-94:
Take the Kellogg Boulevard exit off of I-94
in St. Paul, and watch for I-35E (it will be
about ¼ mile after crossing John Ireland
Boulevard). Follow I-35E south for about 5
miles. Take the Highway 13 exit off of I-35E
in Lilydale and follow southbound Highway 13
(also called Sibley Memorial Highway), for
about two miles. Go through the village of
Mendota and up the hill. Turn right into St.
Peter’s parking lot.
From Inver Grove Heights and Eagan
Traveling West on Highway 55:
Take westbound Highway 55 over I-35E and
I-494. Continue past Mendota Heights Road to
the stoplight at Highway 13, where there is
a brown “Mendota Historic Sites” sign. Turn
right onto northbound Highway 13. (This is
the last turn before the Mendota Bridge, so
be sure not to miss it.) Follow Highway 13
past a second “Mendota Historic Sites” sign,
Acacia Boulevard, the stoplight at Highway
110, and a third “Mendota Historic Sites”
sign. Go about ¼ mile and turn left into St.
Peter’s parking lot.
