Deacon Tim Hennessey
Deacon Tim Hennessey was ordained a Permanent Deacon for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis on December 5, 2015. He began his ministry at St. Peter’s on December 19, 2015. In addition to his assignment at St. Peter’s, he is the coordinator for the corrections ministry for Washington County. In his ministry at St. Peter’s, Deacon Tim assists at Mass and other sacramental duties, works with the Catholic Watchmen group and assists Father Steven with ministering to the needs of the people in the parish.
Deacon Tim and his wife, Anne, have seven children and three grandchildren. He is employed full-time and enjoys time with his family, cooking and music.
Lisa Amos joined St. Peter’s parish in 2004 and joined the staff in 2007. She worked in the religious education department before moving on to become the pastoral associate. Lisa holds bachelor’s degrees in theology and accounting from St. Catherine University. After meeting her husband, Joseph, Lisa moved here from northeastern Vermont in 2000; they and their three children, Courtney, Jason, and Matthew now call Eagan and Minnesota home. In her downtime, Lisa enjoys camping, running, watching baseball, a good competitive board game with the kids, and knitting.
David is a lifelong Catholic, musician, and student of Catholic schools. He attended Catholic grade school, high school and college all in his hometown of Grand Rapids, MI. At Aquinas College, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in both Liturgical Music and in Music Education, with a vocal performance major and minors in piano and percussion. With help from the Franciscan order that ran his home parish and St. Joseph University Parish in Indiana, David took his first position in Terre Haute, IN. After meeting at a parish Liturgy Committee meetings, David and Jonna married and moved to a new position in MI. After serving for over three years near Fremont, MI, David, Jonna, and their daughters Maggie and newborn Elenna moved to Minnesota, upon accepting the Director of Music position at the Church of St. Peter in Mendota, MN. The Dunst family, now including their sons, Thomas and Alexander, currently reside in Eagan. David’s principal hobbies are golf, limited video gaming, and recording music for his own personal projects. David and Jonna are happy to now call Minnesota home and know they are greatly blessed to have been called here.
Kathy was raised in St. Paul, MN and attended the College of St. Benedict’s where she earned her B.A. in Education. She eventually moved to New York to receive her M.A. in Theology with a focus on Social Justice and Peace issues at the Maryknoll School of Theology. While in New York, she met her husband, John, and moved back to his hometown near San Francisco. Kathy taught in the Catholic school system for 8 years both in Minnesota and California. Kathy, John and their first son, Sean, moved back to Minnesota in 1996 and she started her parish work as Junior/Senior High Coordinator and Youth Minister at St. Peter’s in North St. Paul. After the birth of their second son, Billy, Kathy began working at St. Peter’s in Mendota as Director of Religious Education in 2000. Kathy and her family live in Cottage Grove and feel blessed to be part of St. Peter’s community.
Elizabeth Mc Canna
Elizabeth is a lifelong St. Peter’s parishioner and grew up in St. Peter’s Religious Education/Faith Formation programs. Elizabeth graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education and Catholic Studies. Before joining the staff here Elizabeth served in full-time ministry at St. Peter’s in North Saint Paul for three years and St. John’s in Savage for two years. Elizabeth and her husband Mike live in Eagan with their little girl Clare, rabbit Lily, and dog Novalee.
